The decision of the Federal Court to throw out the charge against Maria Chin represents a welcome, and long awaited, return to the proper application of the law by the top Court.
Perhaps now those representing arch thief Najib in Malaysia’s courts will realise that the deck is no longer stacked in their favour. And this despite the recent illegal manipulation of appointments in the Federal and Appeal Courts.
Notably none of those appointed by illegal means sat in the Chin case but it does mean that those judges who do not owe Najib for any favours in the matter of prolonged appointments will enforce the law as it should be enforced.
Bad news for a man who gets ever nearer to the day when his mega crimes will bring him before those same Courts with which he happily tampered.
