A PAS spokesman announced that disciplinary action would be taken against the relative of PAS guru Hadi Awang for revealing that PAS did indeed take money from UMNO/BN, specifically from Najib Razak.

Among other embarassments this revelation proves that the libel action begun by Hadi against Sarawak Report in London was based on a deliberate falsehood. Not something to be expected from an Islamic guru. No wonder PAS are frantically trying to shut the leaker up. The whole status of “party gurus” depends on the belief by ordinary PAS members that the leadership is honest and truthful. What a joke!

Many grassroots supporters of PAS must be asking themselves why they should support a religious based party which has been publicly shown to be headed by liars, a category strongly disapproved of in Islamic belief and teaching. And why they should continue to listen to leaders who have been publicly proven liars and worse.
