Lengthy Press reports detail the news and actions of the Agong, particularly about the covid epidemic, and all laudatory of the PN “coup” government.
It is quite wrong and unconstitutional for the Agong to express political views; which, as Head of State, he should not hold or express publicly. Possibly he thinks that having caused major political chaos by choosing “outsider” Muyhiddin as Prime Minister he has an active role to play in politics. That is quite wrong. His role and duties are set out in the Constitution and he should follow them.
Perhaps Malaysians should ask themselves what might happen if British Monarch, Queen Elisabeth, publicly supported the government of the day!? Of course that would never happen as British Monarchs know their role and conform to it strictly. A pity that their example is not followed in Malaysia.
