Suggestions, from whatever quarter, that the forthcoming trial of alleged mega crook Najib should be televised or reported otherwise “live” are both ridiculous and offensive and have been rightly condemned by senior lawyers.

Despite the whole of Malaysia knowing that Najib is a suspected mega criminal he is, rightly, receiving the same trials as any other alleged crook and these should be conducted in the same manner.

Why allow him the oxygen of publicity?  Other criminals do not qualify for it and nor should he.  If convicted the whole process of appeals will no doubt have to be gone through but the management at Sg. Buloh should reserve cells for him and his associates who ought join him there in due time.
