Well Said And Done

After some recent criticism it is a pleasure to note that the new IGP is cracking down on dishonest and even criminal members of his Force. Such action is long overdue and has not been seen during the periods in office of his two predecessors.

The task of cleaning up the PDRM is a formidable one and may well prove difficult to complete within his two year period in office but this is a good start and most Malaysians will wish him well as he tackles it.

Once a Police Force has been allowed to indulge in ill-disciplined, and from time to time criminal, conduct the way back can be difficult. Cauterisation may be the only way to heal the wounds and the IG should not hesitate to employ it. In doing so he will have the full support of all honest Malaysians.
