While the spotlight remains on mega crook Najib, details have emerged about his relative Hishamuddin and the army camp built in Johor just before GE14 to try to ensure votes for the latter.
It appears that officials allegedly involved in making this camp happen will be prosecuted. Good. But what about Hishamuddin, clearly the prime mover in this electoral swindle? When will he face justice for this criminal activity?
Of course the machinery of Justice must move carefully in the process of investigation and prosecution of the multiple crimes committed by the UMNO/BN government but administrative steps could be taken to bring more resources to the outstanding investigations that are, or should be, ongoing.
The PDRM, now under new management, was in the past the catspaw of the crooked BN government. Now its new chief has an opportunity to bring its major resources to the outstanding investigatory workload. Will he?
The voters showed in GE 14 that they wanted to be rid of corrupt BN and that they also wanted the BN criminals punished. Everything possible should be done to give the quickest possible effect to that electoral desire.
